Traditional Church
The main services at St. Mary's are 'traditional' and follow the liturgical structures one might expect however we believe in enabling the Body of Christ express it's worship to Jesus in many different ways, and here at St. Mary's we hope that you will find an expression of worship that will bless you and one that will nurture and enrich your faith in Jesus Christ here at St. Mary's.

​The 11am Holy Communion services have resumed on alternate Wednesdays in the month and the next one is on Wednesday 18th May 2022.

There is a group of volunteers available to help provide support with shopping, dog walking, collecting medication etc for anyone struggling to cope by themselves. Please contact the Churchwardens Andy King (07708590704) or Susanne Burnett (01752 791587) or message via our Facebook pages for more information or to request some help.

We hope you stay self and well and that you may know the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ at this difficult time.
Perhaps founded by St. Indract more than a thousand years ago the Church is steeped in history and is a great witness to the thousands of Christians who have lived and worked in the Parish of Tamerton Foliot from before the time of the Doomsday Book right up to the 21st Century.
Still a thriving Church to this day, St. Mary's has something for everyone and has services to suit all tastes from traditional prayer book communions and sung evensong through to modern family services and Messy Church.
A Parent and Toddler Group (Tamerton Tinies) meets on Thursday mornings from 10am - 11.30am during school term times.

A Housegroup meets on Monday evenings from 7.30pm during school term time for informal discussions. However, due to the Covid 19 virus all current meetings are being held online via Zoom. All are welcome to join in. Please get in touch with your email address to be included in the meeting. Tel. 07773170714.​

The Oasis Youth Group for ages 11 -15 meets on alternate Tuesdays in the Church Hall from 5.30pm - 7pm during school term time. However, due to the Covid 19 virus all meetings have been cancelled until further notice.​
​

Our Safeguarding Officer is Gill Camp - gilliancamp@hotmail.co.uk - who ensures that we comply with all the necessary legislation and policies laid down by the Diocese of Exeter to help protect our young people and vulnerable adults.

Our usual pattern of services looks like this:

The following services are usually available each month but can vary around Festivals, like Easter and Christmas. Please telephone 07708590704 to check which services are available on any given date.  

9.45 am Sunday Club (ages 4 - 11) during school term time in St. Mary's Church Hall (2nd and 4th Sundays each month)   Not running at the moment
10.00 am Family Communion (CW) (1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays each month)
10.00 am Together @ Ten - All Age Praise   Informal worship for people of all ages with regular visits from our puppets, Jack and Jill (3rd Sunday each month)
10.00 am Partnership Eucharist (CW) (5th Sunday in the month if it occurs - alternates between the 2 Churches)
6.30 pm Evensong (BCP) (2nd and 4th Sundays each month)
6.30 pm Short act of Evening Worship  (1st Sunday each month)
6.30 pm Holy Communion (CW) (3rd Sunday each month)

Messy Church about once every 2 months around the school holiday times. 

​Midweek Services: 

11 am Holy Communion (BCP) on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
